Enter the World of Miss Piggy. The eternal Narcisist: vain,lustful, vengeful,greedy, dominant and an Eccentric! The character of Miss Piggy is a direct attack on the way females can be viewed as something to be devoured. While parodying male hunger for female flesh, the grotesque pig mask also creates an awkward tension via its repulsive exterior. The contrast of the sexy pose and the ugly face serves to both attract and repel the viewer. This image could be seen as a representation of sexual exploitation and its damaging effects on the human soul. Miss Piggy’s face may also give the impression that the character is greedy and therefore untrustworthy. However, by looking deeper we can see the pig face as a symbol for how women can be made to feel ugly when they become valued purely for their exterior appearance. Miss Piggy is a confrontational character that I have created in order to look out towards the viewer and challenge them to answer the question of whether they really do want a piece of her. While this image could be seen as a representation of sexual exploitation and its damaging effects on the human soul; on a lighter note, it is also meant to poke fun at the world of beauty and high fashion by questioning the conventions and stereotypes of what is attractive.
On saying this however.. we all look at things differently so maybe you might see something different when looking at Miss Piggy.
